A good barbecue rub should make food easier, not more complicated. Zouk Hot BBQ Rub is designed to add smoky, spicy and tangy flavour to meat, chicken and vegetables.
How to use a dry BBQ rub
Pat the food dry, apply the rub evenly and press it onto the surface. You can add a small amount of oil first if you want the seasoning to adhere more easily.
Chicken
Use on thighs, drumsticks, wings or breast before grilling, roasting or barbecuing.
Steak and beef
Season before cooking and allow the rub to form part of the outer crust as the meat sears.
Kebabs
Use with chicken, lamb or vegetables, then thread onto skewers and cook over high heat.
Vegetables
Try on peppers, mushrooms, courgettes, aubergine, cauliflower or corn.
Dry rub or marinade?
Both work. For a quick marinade, mix the rub with a little oil before coating the food.
