Paneer tikka is one of the easiest ways to use Zouk Tandoori Masala at home. The combination of paneer, yoghurt, spice and high heat gives you a simple dish with plenty of flavour.
Ingredients
- Paneer, cut into cubes
- Natural yoghurt
- Zouk Tandoori Masala
- Lemon juice
- Onion and peppers, cut into chunks
- A little oil
Method
- Mix yoghurt, tandoori masala and lemon juice into a thick marinade.
- Coat the paneer, onion and peppers and allow them to sit while you prepare the oven, grill or barbecue.
- Thread onto skewers or spread on a lined baking tray.
- Cook over high heat until the paneer is hot and the edges of the vegetables begin to char.
- Serve immediately with flatbread, salad, chutney or yoghurt.
How to get better paneer tikka
High heat matters. You want the outside to colour before the paneer becomes too dry. Keep the pieces fairly large and avoid overcooking.
What else can you serve with it?
Paneer tikka works well as a starter, in a wrap, alongside pilau rice, or as part of a larger curry night. Pair it with Zouk Pilau Rice Seasoning for an easy rice side.
