Tandoori Salmon

Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets (Skin on or Skinless)
  • 2 tbsp Zouk Tandoori Masala
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh Coriander Leaves (optional, for garnish)
  • Pickled chilly Or Lemon Wedges (for serving)

Method:

  1. Make the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together the tandoori masala, yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic powder, ground coriander, ground cumin, turmeric ,salt, and pepper. The mixture should be smooth and thick enough to coat the salmon.
  2. Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets on a plate or shallow dish. Using a spoon or brush, generously coat the salmon with the marinade. Make sure each fillet is well-covered. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes (or up to 1 hour if you have time).

3.Cooking Options:

  • Grilling: Preheat your BBQ or grill pan to medium-high heat. Place thesalmon fillets on the grill, skin-side down if using skin-on fillets. Grill for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  • Baking: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the marinated salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12-15minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily when tested with a fork.

4.Serve: Garnish the salmon with fresh cilantro and serve with lemon wedges for added zest. This dish pairs beautifully with a side of steamed rice, quinoa, or a fresh salad.
